Shadowheart, Baldur's Gate 3 (2023)

Shadowheart is one of the 6 "origin" characters in Larian Studio's award winning game Baldur's Gate 3. Both playable and romanceable, Shadowheart is the mysterious half-elf cleric of Shar whose goth aesthetic, sarcastic attitude, and complex storyline quickly made her a fan favorite.

Shadowheart's costume was my first time building armor using patterns from Amazing3DPapercraft on Etsy. I used craft foam, hot glue, brads, jewelry chain, faux leather cord, acrylic paint, and spray paint to assemble the armor and hair accessory. The breastplate, legwarmers, collar, and underskirts were patterned and assembled from scratch using faux leather fabric from Amazon and thrifted fabric from a dress and a curtain, while the chainmail and pants are upcycled from preexisting clothing pieces altered for this project.
