Anya, Anastasia (1997)

Based loosely on the historical Romanov family, Anastasia is Don Bluth's not-quite-Disney princess movie musical, complete with spunky orphan Anya, musical numbers, and a zombified villain. Anastasia wears these clothes before finding out she's a princess when swept away by charming con man Dmitri.

Anya's costume is entirely thrifted or borrowed. Her coat is true vintage on loan from my mother, and her dress, scarf, and undershirt were upcycled from thrift store clothing. Photos were taken by Count Elizabeth, who is also pictured as Dmitri.
